Does anyone know the difference between Unlimited Data Usage & BROADBAND CONNECT UNL DATA for Verizon?

The unlimited Data Usage is the actual service on the PDA. Which depending on the device costs 30 or 44.99 a month. The broadband connect is using that device as a modem for a laptop or desktop computer. There is a cable that comes with the phone that plugs in the USB port in the phone and computer. That feature costs an additional 15.00 a month but can be taken off and put on whenever it is needed.
The leading comparison site tested 3,342 mobile broadband connections during the period 1st March 2009 – 31st August, 2009, and found that the average actual download speed was 1.1Mbs compared to the average advertised maximum speed of 4.5Mbs.
The research also revealed that, whilst Vodafone recorded the fastest actual speed with an average of 1.3Mbs, it also delivered the lowest percentage of its advertised speeds at just 18% of the stated 7.2Mbs. The findings are particularly surprising as the operator has recently announced that its maximum speeds are set to increase to 14.4Mbs.
Although there was not a great difference in actual speeds delivered between providers, T-Mobile was the slowest at 0.9Mbs or 20% of the advertised speed. 3 achieved the highest percentage of advertised speeds clocking in at 1.2Mbs or 33.3% of the advertised 3.6Mbs maximum speed.
Rob Webber, Broadband Expert’s Commercial Director, is calling for providers to add average speeds to advertising so consumers can make a more informed choice. He said: “It is completely unreasonable for a provider to advertise unrealistically high speeds that the vast majority of customers will never receive. Advertising unrealistic speeds will not help the long term growth of mobile broadband or the reputation of the providers if customers feel they are being misled.”
By comparison, over the same period, Broadband Expert tested 94,546 home broadband connections where the average speed was 3.6Mbs or 44% of advertised maximum speed.
Webber concluded: “Consumers who see mobile broadband advertised at such high speeds may see it as a realistic alternative to home broadband, whereas in truth it should be seen as a complementary technology. Continued developments in the mobile broadband industry will undoubtedly allow it to become a true competitor in the future, but at the moment – as our research shows – there is still a way to go.”

Are there Fax machines that work with broadband phone lines?
Are there Fax machines that work with broadband phone lines? Similar to Vonage or Comcast.
I am aware of the pay services but i’d like to have my own for my home office.

I am not aware of Fax machines that are specifically designed for VoIP access directly over IP.
But, generally speaking, regular Fax machines “can work over VoIP” broadband connections if the following criteria is met:
1. The VoIP service provider supports G.711u and/or T.38 Fax codecs.
2. The VoIP ATA phone adapter you are using is capagle of G.711u “Pass-through” and/or it directly supports T.38 Fax Codec.

(they recommend using lowest speed of 9600 or lower)
T.38 is the only VoIP Codec that is designed specifically designed to only handle Fax transmissions. Comcast and Vonage do not specify if they use T.38 codec or if they are just using G.711u Pass-Through.
The Linksys SPA2102 VoIP adapter supports not only G.711u Pass-Through, but also is designed to handle Faxes by implementing T.38 Fax codec. But, for T.38 to be viable, your VoIP provider also needs to support T.38 codec. CallCentric is one VoIP service that I am aware of that specifically state in their FAQ’s that they do support T.38 Fax codec handling through their service.
I use the Linksys SPA2102-NA user configurable ATA with various VoIp services. It is a 2-line ATA. This makes it convenient to configure Line-1 for Voice calls and Line-2 for Faxes.
