What internet service provider is better for students in Toronto, Canada?

Rogers or Bell or .. … pls give me the heads up on their speed, customer service and affordability of their plans for a heavy user. Unlimited bandwidth usage per month would be sweet. Thanks!

I can’t say it is the best but I deal with Bell Sympatico. You end up with aeroplan miles and get other deals if you’re with bell. I would go with whom you land line is with. Rogers or Bell? Bell gives you more leaway if you are late on a payment, Rogers does not tolerate late charges. Best of Luck! U of T? Senica , Centenial or York? Bell does not loose speed due to other users, you do not share through bell. I find customer service to be excellent.

virgin broadband national
Virgin Media internet upgrade question.?

Well basically in my house we have a 2Mb virgin broadband connection and with now 3 PC’s in the house playing games is a bit difficult if everyone is on the net. Ive looked on their website and my house is in the fiber optic zone and i can have the fiber optic service, However what i noticed is that the smallest fiber optic package is 10Mb, Not 2Mb. Also the 10Mb is the same price as the 2Mb. Do you think virgin have put us on the national broadband service and i should enquire to their customer service about changing to fiber optic for the same price.

Thanks

Absolutely.I was paying £25 per month for 4 mb and on thier website I saw them advertising a special offer of £20 per month for 20 mb. I rang them to see if I could switch to this as it was faster and cheaper than what I had. They said no as this was for new customers only. I argued with them saying I thought it was disgusting treating new customers better than loyal customers who have been with them for years. In the end they gave in and let me have it. To this day I am still only paying £20 per month for 20 mb broaddband

bandwidth? more mmoney?

hi, i have the old bt homehub. an error came up on the internet – i was on google and it said bandwidth limit exceeded. what does this mean, do i have to pay extra for my internet now? i think i have unlimited wi fi mins on internet
it came up with something saying

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

what does thhis mean

There are 2 possibilities…

First, and most likely, you just happened to go to a site who’s exceded their limit. That’s not your problem and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Second, it’s possible that you have a bandwith limit from your ISP. This can be hourly, daily, or monthly and the internet won’t work at all until the time elapses.

Try going to other sites – CNN.com, Google, com, and Microsoft.com are all good test sites because they’re fairly big and unlikely to have a problem.

If you can reach any of them, it’s not your problem and everything is fine.

If you can’t get to anything – and recieve the notice nomater where you try to go, try calling your ISP to find out what’s up and how to resolve it.
