broadband cable speed
In Atlanta, where can I find the highest UPLOAD speed on broadband (cable/dsl)?

I want to pay ~50-70/mo but do not want a partial t1. I’ve got 6/512 now and I want 1MB u/l min. I’d rather have 4MB down and 2 MB up, but I kinda know (kinda) how bandwidth works and I know this may be a dumb question.
I’m the the ol’ NF Alpha-tater, but the AT&T trucks are setting up a lot of fibre.

Well, if you are in an area of Atlanta that has it check with ATT Uverse. It has 6meg down and 1meg up with a Static IP!!!

I have had it about three months and it really is much better than the “standard” dsl packages. (It uses fiber backbone, copper from local box to your house) Not bad and great system. They say they will be going to 10 down early in 2008? But the 6 actually beet the charter line I used to have by well over 1 meg. It truly is 6 down! And I often show 1.1 up normally its just under at 995.

Merry Christmas and God Bless

mobile broadband internet

Technology is transforming at a blurring pace as we witness excellent gadgetry inventions from new brands and designers making lives easier for the common people around us. With Mobile Broadband coming into the picture, you can now make yourself free from wires; hotspots and all other entanglement inconveniences. For your convenience; Mobile Broadband came into the picture on 11th December 2002, with the IEEE Standards Board approving the establishment of IEEE 802.20, the Mobile Broadband Wireless Access (MBWA) Working Group.

In fact it is Mobile Broadband 3 that has paved way for super quick access to the Internet and your email requirements can be fulfilled in a jiffy! Mobile broadband, in simple words is used to describe various modes of wireless high-speed internet access through a portable modem, telephone or other device. Various network standards may be used, such as GPRS, 3G, WiMAX, LTE UMTS HSPA, EV-DO and other portable satellite-based systems.

The motivating part of Mobile Broadband 3 section is that a plethora of telecommunication manufacturers, mobile phone producers, chipset manufacturers and notebook manufacturers have joined hands to provide an impetus to the built-in support for Mobile Broadband technology on notebook computers. Basically, devices such as PC data cards, USB modems, USB sticks, phones with data modems and portable devices (notebooks and similar) come with built-in support for Mobile Broadband.

3 Plug n Play Mobile Broadband Modem – Pay as you go is an outstanding new dongle that sports a handy microSD memory card slot, meaning that it can double up as a memory stick as well. With the new Birdstep dashboard, you can also provide a link from their desktop straight through to MP3 and a broadband dashboard which automatically updates itself to a new version when available.

The biggest advantage that you get is that everything auto-installs, which means you get on the web even quicker than before. And when you’re in a Turbo Network you can get broadband internet access speeds of up to 3.6MBps. But then to make effective use of Mobile Broadband, your computer or laptop needs a minimum of 50MB hard disk space, 1 free USB port, a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or and Mac OSX operating system.

In addition, you can avail the benefit of the amazing user-friendly Modem Manager interface that not only manages your connection, but also displays all the messages you receive on your mobile broadband number. You can even reply to your text messages while logged in.

There is an unprecedented demand for Mobile Broadband in the mobile networks in the major emerging markets as it delivers high-speed internet access to the mass market. Also, the global Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) family of standards – which includes GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA and LTE – is the most widespread way to deliver mobile broadband. 3GPP standards are serving about 90 percent of the world’s mobile subscribers. http://www.blueunplugged.com/c.aspx?c=57108

As technology continues to evolve tremendously, Mobile broadband is expected to be utilized to help spread broadband coverage to the more remote areas of the world.

bandwidth limit comcast

Nowadays, we live in a global village due to fast connections and shorter distances between each other via the internet, it being probably the greatest source. Many people share their pictures and videos or others files with their friends and family, but due to high dimensional Blu-ray videos (having a size of about 16GB), photos (size around 30MB) and games etc., they need to get high speed internet connections so that they can send their files in a moment.

Many organizations require broadband internet connection in order to connect with their franchises and branches which can be located in many different countries. Due to long distance and no time to travel, they need to get high speed of internet connection through which they can attend their online meetings and discussions, live video conferences, exchange their data, get easy connectivity with database etc.

If the download streaming rate is more than 768kb then we can say it is high speed internet service. Most of providers provide minimum connection about 2Mbps and provide maximum connection about 24Mbps. As the speed boosts up, gradually the prices rise.

Multiple users can log on to a single server and utilize same speed even if they are using at the peak traffic timing such as evening and weekends, theses services provide reliable speeds for home users as well as for business. These services can subscribe monthly basis for a fix price and this fee depends upon file transfer rate during downloading. If you buy services at fix rate then you have to use limited downloading size at limited downloading speed. After exceeding your download limit you’ll have to pay for more usage. But now a days, due to competition, some companies provide unlimited downloading at fix monthly rates, like PTCL provide unlimited package of 2Mbps for Rs. 1800/- some most important points which you should keep in your mind when you are going to purchase broadband service are: comparison between different company’s packages, downloading speed, hidden charges.

broadband connection problems
Broadband Connection, Problem accessing dailymotion.com?

I have a dataone broadband connection and recently cannot access dailymotion.com properly.
The homepage opens properly and I can view my profile etc. but whenever I try to watch videos by clicking on them white screen appears and nothing happens the Internate explorer sort of hangs. I tried netscape navigator and changing security settings but nothing works.
The site can be accessed properly from my friends PC, he also has dataone broadband connection, and also from other broadbands.
Please suggest something.
I am using a router, so how can I fix the problem?
No parental controlls.

Are there any parental controls on your computer? If so any site that has any adult content may be blocked.

Another possibility is that your roughter has blocked it. Are you using a rougher or plugging it straight into your computer?
